- Major District Roads: The major district roads are the important roads within the district, which connects market centers to areas of production.
- Other District Roads: Major district roads having lower specification serving areas of production, market centers, railway stations, are known as other district roads.
- Village Roads: Village Roads connect group of villages to the next important roads.
2.Types of road according to traffic:
- Very Heavy Traffic Road: The very heavy traffic road carries above 600 vehicles per day.
- Heavy Traffic Road: The heavy traffic road carries 251 to 600 vehicles per day.
- Medium Traffic Road: The medium traffic road carries 70 to 250 vehicles per day.
- Light Traffic road: The light traffic road carries below 70 vehicles per day.
3.Types of road according to tonnage:
- Very Heavy Traffic Road: The very heavy traffic road carries over 1524 metric tonnes vehicles per day.
- Heavy Traffic Road: The heavy traffic road carries 1017 to 1524 metric tonne vehicles per day.
- Medium Traffic Road: The medium traffic road carries 508 to 1016 metric tonne vehicles per day.
