Electronic Governance is the integration of information and communication technology (ICT) in all processes . It aims at extending electronic governance and strengthening the government’s ability to meet the needs of the general public.

Its main function is to provide services via the Internet. As a result, you can use services such as G2C, G2B, and G2E.

Characteristics of Electronic Governance

  1.  Bureaucratization: E -Governance has narrowed the gap between people and governments. all government services and has significantly reduced people’s reliance on bureaucracy.
  2. International Services: Through Electronic Governance, all important services can be provided to citizens living abroad for work purposes
  3. It enhances the right to express to the public. Anyone can share an opinion with the government about a bill, action, or decision made by the government using the means of E- Governance.
  4.  Economic Development: With the introduction of E- Governance, various information such as import / export, corporate registration, investment status, etc. will be available via the Internet.
  5. Reduce inequality: E- Governance tools allow anyone to gather information and empower themselves.

Purpose of Electronic Governance

Firstly One of the basic purposes of E -Governance is to make all government information available to everyone for the public good.

Secondly Create a cooperative system between the government and the people. It also seek help and advice from the people, and make the government aware of the problems of the people.

Thirdly Increase and encourage people’s participation in the governance process.

 Fourthly E-Governance improves the country’s information . It also improves communication technology and electronic media with the aim of strengthening the country’s economy by harmonizing governments. It also harmonizes people and businesses with the modern world.
